African Uhuru
The story of Black resistance to racism in Britain is much undertold. African Uhuru charts how the building of communities of resistance in Britain challenges the picture painted of Black passivity against racism.
The book argues that these communities of resistance have helped to provide a platform for a new multilateral world to be built during the dying days of western hegemony.
A new world will be built out of the resilience of black people in Britain and across the globe. This book celebrates the role that Black people in Britain have and are playing in creating a world of new possibilities.
Trilogy Summary
The old First World dominance is dying. To understand what might replace it we need to understand what is happening to the other “two worlds.”
The first book in a new trilogy, The Rebirth of the African Phoenix: A View from Babylon, argues that Africa will be pivotal to the building of a new multilateral world. The book sets out some of the fundamental challenges that Africa and Africans across the diaspora must tackle.
The second book will examine the rise of Eurasia in the face of hostility and challenges from the existing dominant order. The book will look at how Eurasia seeks to work with Africa to create a new world dynamic based on win-win rather than the winner take all approaches that have dominated the world for centuries.
The final book in the trilogy charts why and how the demise of the so-called first world is taking place. The book will argue that whilst the fall of “Babylon” is inevitable under capitalism we need to understand how the resistance to this might play out and the impact on the rest of the world.
